Synopsis

As Shiina and Isana's battle intensifies the audience is given a glimpse into Isana's past and why he was cursed. After Aoi Hana figures out that his tail and click sounds belong to a Sperm Whale, she shouts that she just cannot see him as a human for the atrocious way he treats his animals and those around him. Genuinely hurt by her words Isana recounts how he came to be cursed.

It's revealed that Isana was a young adult at the time and had always been rich and affluent due to his father's money but his curse came about after he shot and killed a Sperm Whale that was drifting near his cruise ship. Killing the innocent animal caused the spirit of a Ghost Whale to breach the water and exact a curse upon him for his misdeeds, transforming him on the spot in front of others and sinking the ship under his new form. He soon after took over a run-down aquarium near the ocean's edge and used his magic powers to raise it to it's current popularity.

After his brief recounting Isana transforms himself back into the cursed form of a whale exclaiming how much he hates the form before slamming his head downward to attack.
